I love this one!
I like the 'lightness' of the haiku Eric.
I'd be interested to see it alongside a not as strongly connected (in terms of mood/subject)image.
It does work on this image but maybe its the kind of image that we might expect with such a stanza.
Maybe a less direct more renku like linking between image and stanza would take us on further.
It does feel very romantic and sentimental - and both the image and haiku feel like this independently of each other. So that feeling is reinforced when put together and that can't be a bad thing especially on a cold wet morning here in the UK!
