an auburn leaf
moves on the maple --
the first robin!

I was sipping tea on the balcony when I noticed --
grabbed my camera and went rushing outside -- just in
time to see it fly away.

no valentines -
but the next day
a robin

I really like this, Lary. Makes me remember the hummingbird I saw a few years back when I least expected it. Made me lose my breath.:)

Last year I was thrilled to get
this shot of a hummingbird...
I cherish it!

Great stuff, Lary! Perhaps you'd consider trimming the lines on the 2nd haiku, though the first and third are just perfect.

(LOL - sorry, I couldn't resist!)

Thanks, Andrew!

Hi Norman, heh heh...thanks!
(Actually, I do have a third ku on this topic, but didn't post it just in case I decide to send it out. Many places consider being on a Blog as "published".)

Aurora, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I love hummingbirds so much...

Thanks very much, Denis!
