shower after shower
a crow with a large stick
crosses the rainbow

I like the connections here, Little Onion!
I'm not sure if I'm getting a clear image...do you mean
1) there's a rainbow after every shower, or
2) there have been several showers and finally there's a rainbow?
The second makes more sense to me, which made me wonder about a dash after line 1.
But it could be just how I'm reading it (or not!)...

Hi Laryalee,

I generally don't use punctuation in haiku. here the cut is after shower after shower and i can see that it could maybe be seen as not a strong cut when presented this way but it is intended to be a haiku of two parts - the showers actually never seemed to stop and the sun was out and so the rainbow and then that crow - it must be spring.

You have a winner here... A wonderful image, and I have seen this many times, but most especially at Big Sur... I really, really, really, think this a publishable haiku, and I mean anywhere... :D
